Interdisco

History. Interdisco has been releasing music since 2003, and is run by Raffael Dörig, Oliver Hagmann and Christian Walt, who had known each other long before starting the label, and who used to play in bands together. We release only the music that we like, and we counter the permanent deluge of the internet by insisting on our taste. We also play our music in the real world in live shows and DJ sets. Manifesto. This is about music, not about the internet. While the internet provides the structure, the communication takes place in the music. The values of our economy are passion, joy and love. We have to give ourselves away. The process of digitization is dissolving the idea of music as object, and is permitting music to regain its intangible, ephemeral quality, and to stop existing as a product. With his latest EP on interdisco Hachi delivers three dance music blasts of the first order. He choreographs mood in an elegantly multi-layered fashion while achieving a sense of ease despite/through rigorous arrangements. These tracks never sacrifice the straightforward pull for and onto the dancefloor. Fully realized techno dauteur. Do yourself and this music a favor and dont listen to it on your tiny computer speakers: this music is big and loud and deep and needs to be accomodated...

this ep is a little collection of stories from special encounters with special people and places: wind sounds from a flying beer can inspired by françois laporte. a musical portrait of a portrait photographer. sounds of a day lounging around an old wooden houseboat, and a long sunset dingy around false creek eating a bowl of fresh cherries. a month long stay on a beautiful farm by the baltic sea. granny'ark is michelle irving from vancouver (canada) who generally has several irons in the fire....

Trondheim's second EP on Interdisco (after his 2005 release "Der erste Widersacher und sein Untergang") again features lots of distinctive piano sounds and a gently tentative melancholy enveloped in plunky sounds and theatrical strings. Here, Trondheim also reveals an as of yet secret admiration of italian western comedies. at the end of the EP, a fragmented voice emerges - at stake is nothing more than the finiteness of all mundane bliss. we're lucky pop music still has some hope in...

Interdisco is proud to present a new 4-track ep by Fax from Mexicali (Mexico) who already released records on various labels like Traum, Rocket Racer, Sentrall, Darla, and Static Discos. The Interdisco EP Idioma could be described as a natural progression from the EP Resonantes released on the Cologne based label Traum Schallplatten. Idioma contains four tracks of sublime beauty, like memories of melodies underlined with uptempo yet subtle minimal techno.

as a christmas present, interdisco gives you music which could be seen as a perfect soundtrack for sitting in front of a cosy chimney watching the crackling fire, take a walk through lonely snowy landscapes or just watching the deserted streets through the window. not without the presentiment of a club-night which might be up to come. trondheim is ansgar seide, hailing from münster (germany) and produces fragmented electronica with lots of melodies.

"steter tropfen" (constant dripping) ist the name of a track on the first julius lagerferld ep for interdisco. and indeed, his music is wearing away the stone by a constant dripping forward, making you fidget. says julius lagerfeld about his ep: "it's a study in slowness. an attempt to create an inversely proportional correlation between speed and power. it was created by exclusively using hardware synthesizers to set a counterpoint to the prevailing approaches of laptop and...

after a long break, interdisco is back with a stunning new release: "the ghost album" by papiro. papiro already appeared on the winterdisco-compilation with one track back in 2003, now he releases "the ghost album" simultaneously with his new album on vinyl "avventure lontane" (a tree in a field records/some fine legacy). for many years, multiinstrumentalist papiro has been creating music that is withdrawing itself from common genres. "the ghost album" is...

while the last ep by and me was "seductively silly and uplifting" (de:bug), his third release on interdisco is more of a melancholic journey in autumn. and it's true, there's always time for autumn. conceived as a seamless piece in seven stages, "at home with the ghosts" includes and me's trademark portamento melodies as well as field recordings, guitar and voice. we recommend to download the seamless version for an optimized listening experience. there is also a segmented...

On this ep by dincise from Geneva (Switzerland) you will find beautiful sound design arranged with great attention to detail. Heres how dincise describes this very personal piece of music: Introversion EP is the deep exploration of myself. Its the influence of the town and the winter. Its my bandy-legged vision of life and the events around me. Its my research on the uncertain equilibrium. dincise is a member of the Audioactivity collective from Geneva (Switzerland). Since 2002 he is producing...
